Your trust is the foundation of this Second Chance Scholarship. The principles below describe how we handle the information you share with us as an applicant.
All applicant data is transmitted over TLS and stored using industry-standard encryption. Access is restricted to authorized reviewers.
We do not sell, rent, or share applicant information with third parties for marketing or commercial purposes — full stop.
Information you submit is used solely to evaluate your application, communicate with you, and administer the scholarship.
We collect only what is necessary to evaluate your application: your name, contact information, academic record, essays, and supporting documents (such as transcripts and letters of recommendation).
Your information is reviewed by a small, vetted selection committee. It is used to determine eligibility, score essays, verify documentation, and communicate with you about your application status.
Student data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We maintain strict access controls, audit logs, and security reviews of the systems involved in processing applications.
The Second Chance Scholarship does not sell, rent, lease, or otherwise share applicant data with third parties for marketing, advertising, or commercial purposes. Limited service providers (for example, secure file storage) act only on our behalf under written confidentiality terms.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the information you have submitted. To exercise these rights, reach us via the contact page.
Application materials are retained only for the duration necessary to administer the current award cycle and to comply with applicable recordkeeping obligations, after which they are securely deleted.
